Ideal for marine aquariums where blue light is needed for corals and invertebrates, and for nocturnal and crepuscular freshwater catfishes

Blue Moon has a pleasing moon light style effect and so can be used for "after dark" lighting of aquariums. This facilitates viewing of nocturnal inhabitants (e.g. catfish and marine inverts) and stops the aquarium becoming an unsightly "black hole" in the corner of the lounge after lights out. If the Blue Moon is timed to come on first and go off last it also reduces the fish being startled by sudden light changes on start up

The internal reflectors built into the lamps ensure all the light is focussed downwards into the aquarium, thus negating the need for an additional reflector
