Seachem Clarity™ will clear all types of clouding: bacterial and other biological type blooms, chemical clouding, and particulate clouding (i.e. stirred up gravel bed). When Clarity™ clears up bacterial clouding it helps to accelerate and enhance the colonization of the biological filter by efficiently relocating these natural biofilms to the biosupport media in the filter. DIRECTIONS: Use 1 capful (5 mL) for every 80 L (20 gallons*). In some situations the cloudiness may increase slightly after adding Clarity™, however this is normal and is a sign that Clarity™ is actively working. Rapid clarification will follow. In the case of chemical or particulate clouding clean filter filter floss or cartridge after tanks clears. (Note: The 2 & 4 L container’s cap is 10 mL)

Clarity Support A: It is normal for flocculating agents (like Clarity) to cloud water after initial dosing. It can remain this way for a few hours, generally no more than 18 to 24 in extreme cases. If still cloudy after this time period, I recommend to change you mechanical filter media to trap the free floating debris in your aquarium that Clarity has "clumped" together that is causing this clouded appearance to your water column.

Q I have used your Clarity product on my tank a couple of days ago and the tank has become extremely cloudy. I am concerned that this product has somehow made my water more cloudy than before.

Q: Will the Clarity precipitate trace minerals and macro- and micro-nutrients that my fish and plants need to maintain rapid, healthy growth? A: Clarity will only remove particulates not soluble nutrients. Clarity works as an aggressive floculant and not as a precipitant. Clarity is generally used for cloudy water situations and it great for all types of clouding.

Q: I have floating particles (not algae) in the water that the filter will not catch. I wanted to know if your product "Clarity" will help. A: Clarity can be used for all particulates. I would use a fine filtration floss in your filter system in conjunction with Clarity. Clarity actually makes the particulates larger, allowing for them to be filtered out of your system. Clarity is also safe to use in all aquarium systems, freshwater, reef, etc
